Caramel Roast Milk Tea

Roasted Sugar Milk Tea Recipe (Unique Caramel-Style Chai) (H1)

Ever tried tea with a caramel twist? This unique Roasted Sugar Milk Tea is my personal recipe — made by roasting tea leaves and sugar together to unlock deep, smoky, and slightly caramelized notes. It’s creamy, comforting, and unlike any tea you’ve ever tasted.

Perfect for slow mornings, cozy evenings, or impressing guests with something totally new.

Ingredients (H2)

  • 2 tsp black tea (loose leaf or tea bag)

  • 1 tsp sugar (adjust to taste)

  • ¾ cup water

  • 1 cup milk

Instructions (H2)

1. Dry Roast the Tea and Sugar (H3)

In a pan, add black tea and sugar together. Roast on low heat until the sugar melts slightly and the tea becomes aromatic and lightly toasted. Stir continuously and be careful not to burn it.

2. Add Water and Simmer (H3)

Pour in the water and let it simmer for 3–4 minutes. The color will deepen, and the flavor will become rich and smoky.

3. Add Milk (H3)

Add the milk and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Allow it to simmer for another 2–3 minutes to blend all the flavors.

4. Strain and Serve (H3)

Strain the tea into a cup. Enjoy your roasted chai  smooth, warm, and naturally caramelized.

Serving Suggestions (H2)

  • Add a pinch of cinnamon for a warm, spiced aroma.

  • Sweeten with honey or caramel syrup if you prefer a richer flavor.

  • Serve with cookies or biscuits for a cozy evening treat.

Tips for Best Results (H2)

Control the Heat (H3)

Roast on low flame to avoid burning the tea leaves or sugar.

Use Fresh Loose Tea (H3)

Loose leaf tea gives a stronger aroma and deeper flavor compared to tea bags.

Adjust Sweetness (H3)

Increase or reduce the sugar based on how caramelized you want the tea to be.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) (H2)

Can I use brown sugar instead of white sugar? (H3)

Yes! Brown sugar gives the tea a deeper caramel flavor.

Can I make this with green tea? (H3)

Roasting green tea with sugar may turn it bitter. Black tea works best for this recipe.

Can I froth the milk? (H3)

Absolutely — frothed milk makes the drink creamier and more café-style.

👌Enjoy your homemade Roasted Sugar Milk Tea  rich, cozy, caramel-like, and unforgettable
